Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun was an incredible challenge wrapped in a pretty package and hiding a really engaging story with a surprising amount of emotional weight. It’s characterful and user-friendly enough that even the stealth-averse might find something to tempt them into the shadows. It’s tricky, complex without being too complicated.

You have to coordinate your team like a well-oiled machine there is no pausing timing is everything, know which character works best in which specific situation, or find out alternate ways to solve a problem with another character, etc.The leader of this band of assassins is a ninja named Hayato agile and sneaky he can take out enemies silently with his blade or shuriken’s, the samurai Mugen is bulky but he can take out multiple foes at once, Aiko a master of camouflage disguises herself as a local geisha allowing her to access areas your team normally can’t sneak past through, Yuki a street urchin specialized in setting up traps and distracting enemies, Takuma the groups oldest member but he is a crack shot with a musket allowing him to snipe far away targets.Complete missions in multiple ways set traps for wandering guards, Poison unwary targets, or completely avoid contact with enemies. Coordinate your team in dangerous missions where you will be outnumbered 10 to 1 stealthily infiltrate castles, mountain monasteries, and hidden military forest camps.
